Terms of Service

Effective date: 9 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CRA Readiness at crareadiness.com and your purchase of the report we provide (a screening position report for the EU Cyber Resilience Act (2024/2847)). By using this site or buying a report, you agree to these Terms.

1. What you are buying

CRA Readiness sells a one-time screening position report. The price is shown at checkout and varies by region. The report compiles and presents a screening of the products and parameters you supply against Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 and the European Commission's non-binding draft guidance.

2. The report is a screening, not legal advice or a conformity assessment

The report is provided for general informational purposes only. It is a screening of scope and obligations — not a professional service, and not legal, regulatory, or compliance advice, and not a conformity assessment under the CRA. It does not create any lawyer-client or notified-body relationship. It does not audit your product's security, issue a CE marking, or replace advice from qualified counsel or an accredited conformity-assessment body. The SaaS/RDPS scope boundary and product-class edges are genuinely contested and rest in part on draft guidance that can change. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and you should consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting on anything in the report or relying on it for a market-access decision.

3. Out of scope means out of the CRA only

If the report indicates a product is out of scope, that means out of scope of the Cyber Resilience Act and nothing more. It is not a clean bill of health and does not mean the product is unregulated: other regimes — including NIS2, the GDPR, and sector-specific or contractual security requirements — may still apply. Nothing in the report should be read as stating that a product needs no security measures.

4. No warranty

The report and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We screen against a regulation and non-binding draft guidance that are still settling and may be revised, and we do not warrant that the report is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CRA Readiness, its operators, and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site or the report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the report or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the report.

6. Refunds

Because the report is a digital product delivered immediately, refunds are provided for delivery failure — for example, if you paid but did not receive your report, or the report could not be generated for the parameters you supplied. If your report failed to arrive or cannot be produced, email [email protected] and we will re-deliver it or refund your purchase. If you believe a specific position in your report is wrong, contact us — we will investigate and, where a delivery or generation fault is on our side, make it right.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: resell, republish, or redistribute the report as your own product; scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the site; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure; or use the site or report for any unlawful purpose. The report is licensed to you for your own personal or internal business use.

8. Intellectual property

The site, its design, its text, and the report format are owned by CRA Readiness and protected by intellectual-property laws. The underlying legal texts and public guidance referenced in the report belong to their respective sources (the European Union, the European Commission, and ENISA). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the report you purchase for your own purposes.

9. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Analytics are provided by Fathom Analytics. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services, though we choose them with your privacy in mind (see our Privacy Policy).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the state in which the operator of CRA Readiness is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought in the courts located there.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
